StellarMed Mobile Transport is looking for Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) to join

our team. Ideal candidate is detail oriented, dependable, team player, and a quick

learner who wants to grow in the field of mobile transport. The ideal candidate will

possess above average customer service skills, a willingness to assist all other team

members, advanced critical thinking and be an eager learner.

Job Summary:

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) plays a critical role in providing high-quality patient

care and transportation services within our BLS transport agency. The EMT will primarily

conduct non-emergency medical transports, ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of

patients to and from medical facilities. Additionally, they may be called upon to provide backup

support to the local 911 system on emergency calls as needed. The EMT will be responsible for

assessing patients' conditions, providing basic medical treatment, and safely transporting

patients while adhering to established protocols and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Respond promptly to non-emergency medical transport calls and provide medical assistance

to patients as required.

2. Conduct initial medical assessments and administer basic life support interventions to

stabilize patients' conditions.

3. Safely and efficiently transport patients to medical facilities, ensuring their comfort and safety

during transit.

4. Communicate effectively with patients, family members, healthcare professionals, and

dispatchers to provide accurate information and coordinate care.

5. Maintain accurate and complete patient care documentation, including medical records,

incident reports, and billing information.

6. Provide backup support to the local 911 system on emergency calls, responding to

emergencies and providing medical assistance as needed.

7. Assist with conducting wheelchair van transports for patients with mobility impairments,

ensuring their safe and comfortable transportation to and from medical appointments.

8. Perform urinalysis and e-screens for QEH Occupational Medicine clients, following

established procedures and protocols to ensure accurate and timely testing.

9. Support dispatching operations as required, including answering calls, dispatching units, and

coordinating logistics to ensure efficient ambulance operations.

10. Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to maintain state

certification and enhance job-related skills and knowledge.

11. Perform other duties as assigned by EMS Supervisor or Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

- Current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) by the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services (NC OEMS).

- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of basic medical procedures and treatments.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with

patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, remaining calm and

composed under pressure.

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in all

aspects of job performance.

- Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting and moving

patients and equipment as needed.

Requirements:

● NC State Certification

● Valid NC Driver's License and acceptable driving record

● Valid BLS Card

● Must be able to lift, push and pull 150 lbs. or more

● Must successfully complete the company's orientation and training

● Must submit to and successfully pass State criminal history review and drug

screening
